Two of Perth’s hottest brass driven dance bands, The Bambuseae Rhythm Section and Brassika combine to groove it up in Subiaco. The Bambuseae Rhythm Section (pronounced Bam-Boo-See-Ay) combine their musical influences to deliver a robust elemental fusion of original Rhythm & Blues, Funk, Soul, Rock & Roll, and Disco vibes. Wild and free one moment, soft and sensual the next. The music is groove-based and designed for dancing your worries into oblivion. Freo band Brassika play a brand of heavy soul, jazz and pop. From floating melodies, large horns, and laid-back breakbeats to infectious pop grooves, the 7-piece combine a world of influences to capture a deeply idiosyncratic and personal sound. Cabin Fever all-star, Blazing Brews is back – bonfire, blues, brews and all. Get toasty by the open-pit fire, knock back a brew or dance to a line-up of red hot live music. There’ll be plenty of sustainable, locally sourced eats, including a BBQ worth staining your flanno over by legends Burnt Ends. It all happens in the rolling hills of Metricup on an old dairy farm transformed by amazing humans who love a good party. Let the good times roll.

The Bambuseae Rhythm Section (pronounced Bam-Boo-See-Ay) are a six-piece groove-based band hailing from Fremantle, Western Australia. They combine their individual musical influences to deliver a fusion of original funk, rhythm & blues, rock & roll and groove-based music. Their songs are laced with catchy hooks and solid percussive rhythms designed for dancing your worries into oblivion. 


Armed with their motto, "The People Must Dance”, this energetic act is stirring up the local music scene with their upbeat and memorable live shows by providing music that is impossible to sit still to. Inheriting well-renowned band members in the past 12 months, The Bambuseae Rhythm Section's musical line-up is on top of the game. Consisting of guitars, vocals, keys, violin, trumpet, bass and drums each of the bands members hold their own personal musical accolades within the Western Australian and Australian music scene. 

In the past 18 months, The Bambuseae Rhythm section have performed at some of Western Australia’s premier festivals and events such as Bridgetown Blues Festival, Western Australian Circus Festival, Nannup Music Festival , Fairbridge Festival and Wave Rock Festival, in addition to having performed alongside acts such as The Cat Empire, The Original Chicago Blues All Stars, Diesel, Dan Sultan and Caravana Sun.
